Thanks again to Stephen Robinson, Elizabeth Lee Robinson and Team EvenPulse for hosting an incredible week together. I didn’t go into Scottsdale AZ expecting anything new that I hadn’t seen before in the field of applied psychology and behavioral science, yet I walked away with a transformational experience. I learned things that pushed the limits of my selfawareness and selfregulation while challenging my understanding of the human brain and body. I got comfortable with the discomfort caused by ego, uncertainty and fear and let go towards trust, recovery and growth. More importantly, I made new friends - high performing and humble servant leaders and practitioners coaches in the arena helping people get better at what they do: Bazzel Baz, Dave Kleiber, Dr. David Berceli and Dr. Jonas Nordstrom. Just being around these giants inspired me to continue the mission of helping people in the arena optimize human performance and improve their resilience.

Baz, Thank you! I wanted to thank you for taking time to speak with my government class. Your words and witness bear great weight with these students. Your life is intriguing and you instantly have credibility when they hear of your experiences. Your servant's heart and words of wisdom cause them serious reflection in how they might serve the Lord with their talents in whatever roles they are called to serve. One said you were his new hero and the others quickly agreed. I have no idea what your mission may be in Africa, but I will commit to praying for you each day. I am so pleased and honored to know you. May God continue to bless you and establish the work of your hands.

Bazzel, thank you so much for this email and know that everything that you said goes double from me to you and your sister. I just thank God each and every day for you, Seebe and your mother who has been responsible for my success in every thing that I do. I love you son and am so very proud of. No man could ever ask for a better son than you are. I love you. God bless you and keep you safe. Love Dad

Baz, ...I wanted to touch base and let you know how much I admire and value your strength, courage and unwavering attention to your purpose. Beyond that, i have been forever changed by knowing you. Your quiet approach, generosity of irit and unconditional appreciation for everything you experience. In the short time I have known you, you have taught me do much, just by being YOU. It is rare that I have experienced knowing someone who supports & cares for openly and unconditionally without judgement or blame. I thankyou for being the person to show me the possibility of this. It is truly a privilege to have you as a special part of my world. One that continues to be an adventure. Thank you and know, your courage and strength is a source of inspiration and I love you dearly for it.

You so are precious cargo, Baz, to God, and to this country You have Gods favor because you have taken everything he has given you and done your extreme best to serve, honor and assist for causes that matter. You've disciplined your intellect, your body, your emotions, to be able to pony up when evil rears its head. There are many wonderful service men and women out there but you are different in that you have truly put God first, and that has made you an instrument in His hands. And with the skills you have honed, yes, you are precious cargo. I only hope you can feel how God has blessed you for it. He wants you to feel joy and peace and comfort and love. I am certain of it. Go with God.

Dear Baz, Thank you so much for all of your advice and guidance earlier this year. Speaking with you opened up a whole new world of opportunities for me and allowed me to realize goals and dreams of mine I hadn’t yet. Your support and belief in me is so very appreciated. Wishing you a happy, healthy and inspirational 2018.

It’s so good to know we have people with Baz’s training and experience on our side. It encourages me greatly how God has put a guy with the persona of Baz, the look he has, and the integrity he has, being led by the Holy Spirit and being able to accomplish what has to be done.

...You have the gift of leadership, grace, and discernment, all wrapped up in humility which is such a rare combination. Thank you for your encouragement to me today, for my career and my life. My prayer will be for your safety and success, for you and your team, wherever your travels may take you.

I have thought about the significant times in my life, and you are in two of them. Times in my life that my children will be proud of...times that shaped me into a better person. Thank you for that. Thank you for being a compass to me and my husband, even now when we don't see you. We want our children to meet you and have you meet them. Until then, know you are in our prayers and in our hearts.

Bernadette

Dear Baz, I met you ten years ago tomorrow. From that day forward, I would be safe. Within the first twenty-four hours, you called me your friend. It freaked me out. But...Over ten years, you have gifted me with safety, knowledge, spiritual salvation, and laughter. Only if you could see directly into my heart, would you realize my complete thanks to you.

Baz, you have impacted my life in ways beyond description. It is my hope, you have gained some teeny- weeny bit of enrichment from knowing me. I'm sorry for all the negatives you've had to endure. And I'm sorry my life did not progress as I had planned when I first hired you. Assignments planned, but never to be.

Don't count me out, Baz. I'm in for the long haul. The time is coming, dear Sir, when my witness with tell the world of the glory of God and of the man with the long hair and earring who God sent to protect, encourage, and make me laugh. Thank you. So you kept me safe and protected, so Our Father in Heaven will keep you. My friendship is offered to you, Mr. Bazzel Baz, for the taking. In God's love.

We all stay really busy these days, but this doesn't mean that we forget those who mean a lot to us. I remember our first handshake -- beneath a wing at Kamina -- and the times afterward.

I sit back at times and take a mental inventory of my friends over the years and feel blessed by having such excellent people around me. Tomorrow is a special day and each year I find myself getting quieter and quieter as I reflect on those who are no longer with us. But the fight continues and I try to stay in it.

I want you to know that I am in tears. I know why you were led to write to me, and it is because I prayed for God to speak to me as he knows the hurt in my heart. I want you to know that there is something you said to me 2 years ago, that I think about often, and has kept me above water. You told me how they train you all to survive if wounded in battle. You said that you are to draw a line in the sand, and crawl over. Keep drawing lines until you reach safety. I hope you know that those words have been pivotal to me in my life, and I have come to understand the meaning and purpose whole heartedly. I thank you for taking the time write me, and offer scripture pertaining to my continued relationship with God. I am so happy that photograph brings you joy, and I hope to create more that will brighten others. I love you so much uncle Baz, I'll see you soon.

Meeting you, and being around you, and conquering one of my greatest fears with your guidance on that cliff, was the catalyst to bring this back to me... I knew that when I walked onto that place to visit you, my life would not be the same. God hand- picked you, Baz, to come into my life, because he knew that through you specifically, I'd notice him and remember who I am.
You are a true living warrior brother, here on earth, not quite like the disciple and preacher warriors, but all of that and then some, having the additional physical type of fighting warrior skills and abilities, his warrior... and dare I tell you, that so am I Baz... I just never put it to use, like you did.

Happy Father's Day, Baz! I know you do not have biological children of your own at this time - however, you have been a spiritual father to many through the years. I'm sure on more occasions than you could ever imagine -you have been the only father or even man to ever care, much less risk your life, for those whom you've rescued. Your heart, your justice, and your love for those you have spent countless hours in search for followed by life-risking adventures to see them to safety ... are all acts of a loving father. Even yet, tho you have no biological ties nor any incentives of your own - this selfless courage can only be the workings of a man after God's own heart. A father's heart. Thank you. May God shower His love and blessings on you in a special way today.

...During that 6 years, I had buddies come and go, And out of the entire 6 years, there are less than a dozen buddies I actually care about, or want to correspond with. You are one of them.... You were far the best 0302 that I had served with at a guard detachment, I knew you were a Grunt. A Grunts' Grunt. You were always a pleasure to deal with when it came to the weapons count, I always figured that you knew I would have it squared away before long, and I did. ...You never ceased to amaze me, because you treated me as nothing never happened. I didnt deserve your kindness, I didn't deserve your respect. Mr Bazzell H.A. Baz. Please accept my most sincere heartfelt apologies.

I ran across this quote that reminded me of you. You are the "One" true warrior.

"Out of every one hundred men, ten shouldn't even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back." Heraclitus

You know, I still remember your last parting words every time you got in your car to leave after we rode Newport Coast Rd. "Read Your Bible." I just wanted you to know what an impression that made on me. Because of you and Slim, I found Jesus waiting for me to open the door. Thank you.

Thank you for all that you do and have done for our country and for stepping out of the pews to risk yourself for children. I pray that God's angels stand forcefully near you in all you do, and that you feel their presence. Blessings always
